The collection of farm data has become an essential part of today’s agricultural industry; the sharing of this data allowing both farmers, agricultural equipment, technology, service, seed and chemical providers to work together towards greater efficiency and productivity.
With the explosive growth of collected, and available, farm data, also comes a concern as to how this data is best used; and to whom it belongs.
MidPlains Ag takes the stance that data collected from your farm operation belongs to you, the farmer; just as businesses view intellectual property rights. While certain sharing of information is essential towards collaborating with ag suppliers, vendors and services, we believe that the handling of this data should be ultimately at the discretion of the farmer.
