FEB 15: 2022 ANNUAL MEETING DETAILS

Our annual meeting will be held on February 15 at the K of C Hall in Elgin with a meal being served at 6 pm. The interesting agenda planned includes covering markets, crop insurance, fertilizer, herbicides, and nitrogen management. Managing these issues wisely will be especially important this year.

Markets are always an interesting topic, and we will have three experts who will share their viewpoint. Ben Buckner with AgResource, Dale Hebda with Pinpoint Solutions, and be joined this year by Sterling Smith with AgriSompo Marketing.

Shawn Wattier with RCIS and Brian Jacobsen with AgriSompo will discuss crop insurance issues.

John Ferguson will discuss the very volatile fertilizer and herbicide situation.

Sentinel Fertigation

New this year will be Jackson Stansell with Sentinel Fertigation. For several years, we have worked with UNL to examine how imagery could be used to manage nitrogen applications using fertigation as many people in this area do. We plan to use this method on our irrigated corn this year. We are confident that this method works and considering the current price and availability of fertilizer it could be very beneficial for your operation this year.

Drones – UAS

We will have on display several of our drones, including one that Rantizo uses to spray crops and apply cover crops on display.
